Meet our pastor.

Pastor James Smith serves as the spiritual shepherd of a small, close-knit church community nestled in the heart of the Yakima Valley. Known for his compassionate leadership and down-to-earth preaching style, Pastor James brings both spiritual depth and genuine warmth to his congregation.

Born in Alaska and raised in Oregon, James graduated from Sumner Christian Academy and earned his Bachelor of Theology from Bible Missionary Institute in 1998. His calling to ministry was shaped by years of service, mentorship, and a deep love for scripture and people.

James is married to his best friend and ministry partner, Carmen. Together, they are raising three wonderful children, Alex, Reagan, and Adina, just outside of Zillah, where they enjoy the quiet beauty of country life. Their home is shared with two beloved dogs, Liberty and Rio, who are always ready to greet visitors with wagging tails.

Whether he's preaching on Sunday, visiting with families during the week, or leading youth Bible study, Pastor James is passionate about helping others grow in faith and live out the love of Christ in everyday life.
